DoorBird A1122: Safety re-defined, convenience re-imagined

DoorBird presents its latest product, a groundbreaking access control system that goes far beyond conventional standards.

DoorBird A1122 is more than just an access control system – it redefines security and convenience. Compact and IP-based, it is a multi-technology device that can be used for a wide range of applications. Even when installed as a stand-alone solution, it opens up new possibilities for use in a wide range of locations such as back and side doors, garages, storage and packing rooms and elevators. Its compact design allows the unit to be easily mounted on the door frame and integrate seamlessly into any environment.

The A1122 complements DoorBird’s successful A1121 IP access controller. This efficient access control system featuring a keypad and RFID reader is now also available with a fingerprint reader in place of the keypad. Access can be controlled via fingerprint or via the multi-frequency RFID reader (125 kHz + 13.56 MHz) using an RFID transponder.

The integrated fingerprint reader not only provides maximum security, but also features an intelligent locking mechanism that temporarily locks the system after multiple unauthorized attempts.

Easy network integration via wireless or wired connection via Wi-Fi or LAN cable. If a network cable is used, the device can even be powered using Power over Ethernet (PoE). In the event of a temporary internet outage, all functions within the local network will remain active. The software for the IP access control solution runs on the device itself, eliminating the need for additional hardware components.

In addition to two relays, DoorBird A1122 has a configurable Wiegand output interface for seamless integration with existing access control or alarm systems. You can also integrate the device into third-party home and building automation systems via HTTP(S) calls.

This new access control system from DoorBird is more than just innovative technology – it is a holistic solution that combines security, flexibility and ease of use. DoorBird A1122 takes the future of access control to a new level. For more information, please visit: www.doorbird.com.

Smart Connection

Yale products now also available in DoorBird Shop

DoorBird and Yale: this connection has existed for several years. Now it’s time for the next step: As of now, the Yale Linus® Smart Locks, which are available in a silver and black colour, as well as the Wi-Fi Connect Bridge, are available in the DoorBird Shop at www.doorbird.com. This gives buyers the opportunity to easily set up their smart locking and door communication system from a single source.

With a DoorBird IP Video Door Station, users can see their visitors from anywhere in the world, talk to them and   open their door directly via the DoorBird App by combining it with a Linus® Smart Lock – the Smart Lock performs the same function as an electric door opener. The smart lock can also be controlled via the DoorBird IP video indoor station A1101. The door is also unlocked as soon as a registered phone or a smart watch is in the immediate vicinity, thus offering hands-free and keyless access. Via the Yale Home App, users can check when their door is locked or unlocked using detailed access logs.

The smart combination of IP video door station and smart lock makes access control more secure and more convenient, as management can be done remotely and in real time. Since the acquisition of DoorBird by the ASSA ABLOY Group last year, both companies have been under the same roof and are continuously expanding their partnership.

Improved password assignment

As part of continuous improvements of our products, we are changing the password assignment to a new system with the DoorBird App v5.30 in the upcoming weeks. Previously assigned passwords will remain valid. The new system allows administrators even more flexibility when assigning passwords in the DoorBird App for individual users of a device. As part of this change, the ability  to view passwords in the admin of the DoorBird App after setting up a user, is being eliminated. This is our effort to implement one of our most frequent customer requests. Make sure that a valid email address of the owner (Owner email address) of the devices is entered in the admin of the DoorBird App and that current passwords of users are saved (see DoorBird App -> Settings -> Administration).  Reset of devices to factory default settings is still possible by using 2-factor authentication (owner’s email address / owner email address) even after the changeover.

It’s all in the gesture – DoorBird presents the new contact-free call button module

Ring the doorbell just by moving your hand: The innovative contact-free call
button module makes access safe, easy, and healthy

DoorBird launches another innovation: The new contact-free call button module
enables doors to be opened without having to touch them. This technology was
developed to promote safe, simple, and aseptic use, and not just in public areas.
Ringing the doorbell by waving is the perfect solution for any building with a high level of foot traffic. Depending on the configuration, a gesture in front of the door intercom system can either ring the doorbell or open the door instantaneously.

A germ-free environment is critically important in public facilities such as hospitals,
medical practices, and nursing homes to limit and prevent health risks for people. An
IP video door station with a contact-free call button module can be useful in such
places. Visitors can intuitively ring the doorbell by making a simple hand gesture and are also given direct visual feedback from the module.

The intelligent motion sensor detects both hand movements as well as a hand coming within 10 cm / 4 inch of the module. This also allows you to ring the doorbell even when holding a package in your hand, for instance. Like a classic DoorBird call button, the module performs actions that can be freely configured on all DoorBird door stations, such as sending out a call signal as a push notification, triggering a relay or HTTP(S) command, or starting a SIP call.

The contact-free call button module is compatible with DoorBird D21x series’ IP video door stations and is available to order now. The scope of delivery includes the sensor panel cover with information provided in German, English, Spanish, French, and Italian.

Small, compact and with a keypad

D1101KV and D1102KV are now available!

The D11x series has been very popular for a long time due to its compact construction and sleek design.

We have added even more technology to this compact series: The small door stations from the D11x series are now available with an optional, integrated keypad. This technology allows residents or visitors to enter the building or, e.g., a package delivery service to access the property using a PIN code without needing keys.

The two products are particularly suited for use in single-family houses and smaller commercial properties with limited space for installing door stations and where the larger D2101KV and D2102KV models are unsuitable.   The D1101KV and D1102KV, in addition to being PoE-capable, are also WiFi-capable, so they work on the WiFi network and do not require a LAN cable.

Both door stations offer practical functions like customized, programmable events: Activate your alarm system, control your compatible smart lock, and much more. With these new additions, your applications will be even more comprehensive and user-friendly.

Of course, both products are still equipped with all of the familiar functions of the D11x series, like geofencing, top-quality video and audio, motion sensors with 4D technology and Bluetooth, open API interfaces, and much more. Both products are available as flush-mounted and surface-mounted versions.
